ForceQuit Pro ("the App") is developed by Kevin Merz ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our macOS application.

The short version: ForceQuit Pro does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All process management happens entirely on your device.

Data Collection

We do not collect any data. Specifically:

• We do not collect personal information
• We do not collect usage analytics
• We do not track your behavior
• We do not monitor which processes you terminate
• We do not upload any data to any server

Local Processing

All process management happens entirely on your Mac. The App reads the list of running processes using standard macOS APIs and allows you to terminate them. No data ever leaves your device.

System Permissions

ForceQuit Pro requires certain permissions to function:

• Automation Permission: Required to send quit commands to applications via Apple Events

These permissions are used solely for the App's core functionality and are never used to collect or transmit data.

Local Storage

The App stores your preferences (such as favorite apps and settings) locally on your device using macOS's standard UserDefaults system. This data never leaves your device and can be deleted by removing the App.

In-App Purchases

ForceQuit Pro offers in-app purchases through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information or Apple ID.

Third-Party Services

ForceQuit Pro does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

If you download the app from the Mac App Store, Apple may collect certain information as described in their privacy policy. We do not have access to this data.

Children's Privacy

Since we do not collect any data, ForceQuit Pro is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Acceptance of Terms

• Fitness for a particular purpose

• Accuracy or completeness of content

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KEVIN MERZ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of data or unsaved work from terminated processes
• System instability caused by terminating system processes
• Corruption of files or documents
• Loss of profits or revenue
• Business interruption
• Loss of use or functionality
• Any errors in process termination
• Unintended termination of processes
• Any other damages arising from the use or inability to use the App

This limitation applies regardless of whether the damages arise from use or misuse of the App, inability to use the App, or interruption, suspension, or termination of the App.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Saving your work before terminating any process
• Understanding the consequences of terminating system processes
• Using the force quit feature responsibly
• Ensuring the App is suitable for your intended use
• Any consequences resulting from using the App
• Creating backups of important data

System Impact Warning

ForceQuit Pro allows you to terminate any running process on your Mac. Terminating certain system processes may cause system instability, data loss, or require a system restart. Use the App with caution and at your own risk.

No Professional Advice

The App is a utility tool and does not provide professional, technical, or any other form of advice. Always save your work before terminating processes.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kevin Merz from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles.
